Perhaps you are looking for a healthy weight loss program, but are paralyzed by the amount of conflicting information presented by both lay people and medical professional.
Some people think eating healthy means being vegetarian, others think it's not eating carbs, yet others think it's about eating raw.
Not to mention, it can be the healthiest, organic, natural food diet in the world, but if a healthy weight loss program is difficult to implement and becomes too expensive to maintain, you won't lose a pound.
new diet programs, best diet to lose weight, easy weight loss,
No wonder finding a healthy weight loss program is near impossible.
Here is what I have learned about sustaining a healthy way to eat, given my own body and lifestyle. I have learned this from years of experimentation and education on different ways of eating both for weight loss and for health:Low-fat diets alone do not mean anything if you are eating only bread and pasta. Your diet must contain the correct balance of proteins, healthy fats, fiber, and carbohydrates for weight loss. All are essential nutrients for a healthy body, and lasting weight loss will not occur if not done in a healthy way. Vegetarian and vegan diets do not necessarily promote weight loss, nor are they necessarily healthy for everybody. If you choose a vegetarian lifestyle for personal or political reasons, you must be very committed and very careful about getting the proper nutrition for your body type. Some people thrive on plant protein, others need animal protein to feel healthy. A pizza vegetarian does not count. HOW you eat is as important as WHAT you eat. You can eat the healthiest diet in the world, but if you are only eating once a day or you are eating too much, you are likely to gain weight given today's sedentary lifestyle. The best way to compensate for our non-hunting and gathering and non-farming lifestyle is to eat small meals throughout the day to keep blood sugar balanced and raging appetite at bay. Water is the key to any weight loss plan. The best food, without water, will do nothing for weight loss or health. So many people still overlook this fact. Exercise is a BAD way to lose weight! It is vital to weight maintenance, but it's an inefficient, time-consuming, and oftentimes expensive investment for slow results. Diet must be addressed as the primary way to lose weight, with exercise as a supporting player. It has to be EASY in order for you to do it and stick with it. Meal plans from nutritionists and dietitians might be comprehensive, and supplements might make up for nutrient deficiencies, but if it's too complicated, you're not going to stick with it, even if it's the healthiest plan in the world.
So how can you choose or create a healthy weight loss program that works? Take a good look at your current reality - your current habits, your current weight, your current financial and time situation. Then ask yourself WHY you want to lose weight.
Then, do a little research to see what program fits best with what you discovered about yourself. Jumping into a diet without knowing where you are starting from or why you are doing it is a recipe for gaining your weight back.
Take the time to think about where you currently are and where you'd like to go, and the appropriate program will make itself known to you because it will simply make sense.
